📈 Nigeria’s Economy Picks Up Pace

Nigeria’s economy recorded stronger growth in the second quarter of 2026, with real GDP expanding by 4.43% year-on-year.

The improvement points to growing momentum across several parts of the economy, particularly services, agriculture and the oil sector. However, businesses continue to contend with infrastructure challenges, high operating costs and pressure on household purchasing power.

Why it matters: Faster economic growth could create more opportunities for businesses, investors and entrepreneurs if the improvement can be sustained.
